NYE London 2015

After ringing in 2014 in London and seeing how amazing it was we couldn't pass the opportunity to do it again welcoming the New Year 2015.  Brian and I went home to the States for 2 weeks at Christmas but made sure we were back in London in time for another unforgettable New Year's Eve.  Our friends Amy & David and Brandon & Monica also planned their travels accordingly to be back as well. In early December we all decided that a Thames River cruise would be a pretty epic night with a view of Big Ben and the London Eye...where the fireworks are shot from at midnight!

So at 8:00pm on Dec 31st we boarded our river cruise at the Festival Pier...
From the start of the night you could feel the energy in the air with everyone ready to party, music blaring from the river banks and the city all lit up.
We all were certainly ready to have a great time!
Since we had paid a pretty penny for the night beer and wine was included.
And the wine was sure flowing...
as well as the river glowing!
It was a perfect night with no rain or wind...
Amy and I had so much fun going up to the top outdoor deck as we passed parts of iconic London...

Police patrolled the river in boats
The beautiful London Eye, locked and loaded with about 3 hours until midnight...explosion time! (the lower building to the right is where we watched the fireworks as we rung in 2014)
Big Ben never gets old...easily my favorite sight in London!
So fun spending the night with friends
The many bridges lit up along the river were beautiful and lots were packed with people staked out to watch the fireworks.  It was fun going under them and everyone cheering and waving to us below.
London is a beauty at night...

Above is the Tower of London.  The Shard below...
 HMS Belfast (below)

Love this picture of the three of us before the dancing all began!
Seeing London lit up while being on the river made the night before the fireworks even started...
 Tower Bridge!

Unforgettable views...
We made our way down the Thames to Greenwich before turning around and heading back to central London.  Meanwhile the party and dancing started cranking up on the dance floor...

Below is the view our boat brought us to just before midnight.
We were pretty pumped at this point and couldn't wait for the skyline to explode!
And then at the stroke of midnight Big Ben was loud and clear to signal the 12 chimes of the New Year 2015.  Then the unreal fireworks began...

The reflections on the water were amazing...

This lasted for about 15minutes...

 Finale getting started!
Not sure how we'll ever top New Year's in London 2 years in a row...

We definitely were trying to live in the moment and soak it all up!
Cheers to 2015, living abroad and life!
